Why We Created The Inclusion Network: A Movement for Real Change

The Beginning: Our Why

Inclusion has always been more than a concept to us—it’s a mission, a calling, and a fight for what’s right.

For over a decade, we have witnessed firsthand the challenges that educators, Approved Providers, and families face when trying to navigate inclusion in OSHC and early childhood settings. We’ve lived it ourselves—through Ruby & Ollie’s, through our experiences in leadership, and through the voices of those around us.

We’ve heard the frustration, exhaustion, and overwhelm from Approved Providers trying to make inclusion work while balancing compliance, funding gaps, and staff shortages.

We’ve seen educators struggling—passionate about inclusion but lacking the tools, support, and confidence to implement it effectively.

And we’ve spoken to parents and caregivers who have been told time and time again that their child doesn’t fit, that there’s nowhere for them to go, or that funding won’t cover the support they need.

The system is broken. And we knew something had to change.

Meet the Team Behind The Inclusion Network

💡 Rebecca Glover – Company Director
As the founder of Ruby & Ollie’s, I’ve spent over 11 years fighting for inclusion in OSHC and early childhood education. I’ve battled policies that don’t make sense, funding gaps that exclude the children who need support the most, and a system that wasn’t built for real inclusion. Through it all, I’ve worked alongside families, educators, and leaders, learning what it truly takes to create meaningful change. The Inclusion Network is my way of scaling that impact, ensuring no service or family feels alone in this fight.

💡 Amy – Executive Director of Operations
Amy holds a Master of Business Administration and brings extensive management and administration expertise, with a deep understanding of the NDIS, CCS, and operational complexities of running a childcare service. She has been instrumental in building and pivoting businesses while advocating for financial sustainability in inclusion services. With her knowledge, The Inclusion Network is structured to bridge the gap between funding, policy, and real-life application.

💡 Meghan – Head of Inclusive Learning & Support
With over a decade in early childhood education, Meghan specialises in supporting children with ASD and behavioural challenges. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies and has an innate ability to guide and mentor educators in building inclusive environments that work. Through The Inclusion Network, Meghan leads training, coaching, and direct support initiatives to ensure educators have the confidence and skills to create truly inclusive settings.

What We’ve Heard: The Gaps in Inclusion Support

We’ve spoken with countless educators, Approved Providers, parents, and caregivers, and the message is clear:

·       Educators want practical, real-life training & mentorship – not just theory. They need on-the-ground guidance to navigate inclusion challenges effectively.

·       The Department of Education’s Inclusion Support isn’t what it’s made out to be – Extra educators aren’t being utilised as intended due to staff shortages, burnout, and lack of proper training.

·       Regional services are struggling – Educators and Directors are on the brink of burnout and giving up, with no real support or mentorship available.

·       Parents and caregivers lose hope – Many don’t even realise it’s possible for their child to receive the right care and support in a mainstream service, with true, reasonable adjustments.

·       If the Department of Education isn’t recognising or making practical efforts to support services, then we will.

What The Inclusion Network Offers

The sector needs services to step up and include all children, and we appreciate the toll, stress, and worry this places on educators and leadership teams. We know inclusion isn’t always easy, but it’s essential.

The Inclusion Network is here to bridge that gap by providing real-world, hands-on support in:

·       On-the-ground coaching & mentorship for OSHC services – helping educators feel confident and supported.

·       Practical training & workshops – moving beyond compliance to real, actionable strategies that work.

·       Helping services navigate CCS, NDIS & funding challenges – making inclusion financially sustainable.

·       Building leadership capacity for inclusive practices – empowering directors and Approved Providers to drive change within their services.

This isn’t just another theoretical training program—this is real-life inclusion support, for real-world challenges.

We are here to support services on their journey and to ensure no educator, provider, or family feels alone in making inclusion work.
